PhD RESEARCH STUDENT AT BRUNEL UNIVERSITY LONDON, PART SPONSORED BY SUNDANCE MULTIPROCESSOR TECHNOLOGY
In January of 2021, I began studying towards a research PhD in the field of Robotics. The title for my thesis is currently Soft Fruit Detection and Harvesting Using a Xilinx Zynq Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA). My research involves looking into the design of an innovative picking mechanism, as well as developing the AI that plots the path of the gripper. The course is part-scolarship, part sponsored by Sundance Multiprocessor Technology, who have provided the FPGA as part of their Vision, Control and Sensor system (VCS-1).

The role of president involved planning meetings for the year for members, as well as events, collaborative projects, and campaigns for the rights and wellbeing of LGBTQIA+ students in the university. I continue to be interested in actively working within the LGBTQIA+ community, particularly on projects designed to increase our visibility in society.
